STUDY ’IT USE IN THE GERMAN APPAREL INDUSTRY’

ERP systems are often not made for the future

Study's results show, that there is substantial need to catch up at most companies. This area is on top of it very heterogeneous. Expensive and extensive programming of own IT solutions or intense individual adaptations of standard-software are still widely spread.

Demand to catch up in the fields of controlling and business planning

Modern controlling tools and Management Information Systems are a must in times of fast market changes and rising demand in company's transparency from banks. A clean and transparent data base and efficient processes are essential requirements for this. To raise a company's competitiveness this is not enough though. Reengineering IT has to start more comprehensively.
